Alt + Shift does not work in Solus. You have to use Super + Space for switching keyboard layout
the shortcut can be changed – only not to Alt-Shift, nor to Alt -Capslock for that matter.
Go to /org/gnome/desktop/wm/keybindings/switch-input-source
Set custom value: [‘<Alt>Shift_L’]
