Is it possible to hide file extension? Example [Name].jar

I don’t want to see that .jar, but when I remove it file stops working.

Solus use Nautilus as default file manager and there is no reliable way to hide file extensions in  Nautilus. See the below article

it is not common to hide file extensions under a Linux based OS. I doubt that there is a good way to hide file extensions.

I assume, the question is about hiding file extensions, and not file hiding.
