I could install Tor browser using Webup8 PPA in Ubuntu. Is there any such repository for Solus?

You can install Tor Browser on Solus.

Download it from: https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html.en#downloads

Rename to: “tor-browser.tar.xz”

Open terminal and navigate to the downloaded directory

Extract:

sudo tar -xvJf tor-browser.tar.xz -C /opt/

And:

sudo mv /opt/tor-browser*/ /opt/tor-browser
sudo ln -sf /opt/tor-browser/Browser/start-tor-browser /usr/bin/torbrowser

echo -e '[Desktop Entry]\n Version=1.0\n Name=torbrowser\n Exec=/opt/tor-browser/Browser/start-tor-browser\n Icon=/opt/tor-browser/Browser/icons/updater.png\n Type=Application\n Categories=Application' | sudo tee /usr/share/applications/torbrowser.desktop

sudo chmod +x /usr/share/applications/torbrowser.desktop

That’s It

You can try:

cp /usr/share/applications/torbrowser.desktop ~/Área\ de\ Trabalho/
cp /usr/share/applications/torbrowser.desktop ~/Desktop

There is not such third party repository available for Solus to install Tor browser. Moreover, this package is alreay requested and rejected

https://dev.solus-project.com/T236

But the prebuilt binary available in the official website work well. Download latest version from the following location

https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html.en#downloads

Extract the downloaded binary and run Tor Browser Setup in the extracted folder.
