Portable version can be used for Solus. Extract the downloaded file and run filebot.sh  file.  filebot application will start.

Filebot is a java application. So remember to install OpenJDK from software center before running filebot.sh file.

`Extract the downloaded file and run filebot.sh  file.  filebot application will start.`  — that will start the GUI. What about the CLI version?  Can that be used as “portable” somehow?

As a complement to the other answer:

After unpacking the portable version.

gedit ~/.local/share/applications/filebot.desktop

And paste this:

[Desktop Entry]
Categories=Internet;
Exec=/path/to/filebot.sh
Icon=filebot
Name=Filebot
StartupNotify=true
Terminal=false
Type=Application

Which will make Filebot searchable in the Budgie menu.
